UKCP Registered Psychotherapist
I offer you safe and confidential space, to explore your life choices, or share troubling feelings, with a caring and sensitive listener. As you start to explore your story you may see your life story in new ways, and gradually gain a deeper experience and acceptance of who you are and who you could be; make choices about how you want to live; to re-vision yourself.
I am an experienced qualified integrative transpersonal counsellor and psychotherapist & have been working with adults and adolescents since 2005. I have worked in a GP surgery, in schools and in private practice.
My style is integrative which means I call on a variety of approaches tailored to your needs and preferences, looking at what is happening in your life as it is, and also bringing in aspects of your past experiences. The transpersonal element of my approach means I’m interested in what gets lost in the rush of life; what we long for deep down, and the search we may have for meaning.
Deciding to work with a counsellor or psychotherapist is a big decision and it's really important you feel comfortable with your therapist. I recommend a one off session to new clients so we can see how we both feel working together, and discuss any concerns or questions you may have. If we both agree we want to work together, I suggest an initial commitment for six sessions. Towards the end of these sessions, we would talk about how things have been and whether you wanted to continue the work.
