Skype counselling

Skype counselling - experienced Skype counsellors based in London

Are you in a position where you could benefit from counselling but would find visiting the therapist in their office regularly difficult? If so, you might like to consider Skype counselling.

An increasing number of practitioners now offer counselling and psychotherapy through Skype (or by other means online) so you can benefit from their care in the comfort of your own home.

If you have to travel frequently, or suffer from mobility issues, then Skype counselling could be particularly appropriate.

Just as in face to face psychotherapy and counselling, for Skype and online counselling, you need to take some things into consideration. Even though you can start your process right away, from the moment you arrange an appointment, it is important that you understand that psychotherapy is not for every one of for every specific case, so it will always be better that you have at least one first face to face appointment with the practitioner of your choice, so you can get to know each other, talk about your situation, and determinate if Skype counselling is the best option for you. You can even try a few online sessions after that, and then decide, after you realize how you feel and if it is the right fit for you.

As with face to face psychotherapy and counselling, privacy is extremely important. Our practitioners work in a safe, private environment with no interruptions, so it will be necessary that you find a quiet and private space, with no interruptions as well, where you are both able to maintain privacy when the online counselling is occurring.

Although skype counselling can give you a little bit more of flexibility in everything related to time and schedules, because you would not have to ask for permission to leave work early or leave your house as long as you have a computer or a smartphone and privacy, the commitment you have with your online psychotherapy should be the same as the one with a face to face psychotherapy, so punctuality and being there for all of your appointments is also important.

If you think that Skype counselling could be a good option for you , check our directory of practitioners, choose one and in touch with them to arrange an appointment.
