ThursdayAbout me
I am an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor registered with both the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Working in an integrative way means that I draw on different therapeutic traditions to tailor our work to your unique needs. I also have specialist training in neurodiversity-informed practice.
Perhaps a new situation is troubling you, or you feel frustrated that the same patterns keep repeating themselves in different areas of your life. Maybe you feel stuck, but uncertain how to change, or maybe you are trying to adjust to a time of transition in your relationships, your daily life, or your sense of who you are. You may also have questions about neurodiversity. Beginning to make sense of yourself and others in this way can be unsettling but can also bring great relief.
I hope to offer a space and time in which you express your feelings, and we think together about what is going on in your life just now. We might explore how your current concerns relate to your past experiences and your hopes and fears about the future. Our therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the work and can often reflect your earliest relationships as well as illuminating what tends to happen in your current relationships.
If you would like to explore beginning therapy with me, please do get in touch. The first step would be to schedule a short initial call, for which there is no charge. This allows me to understand more about your current situation and your reasons for seeking therapy. We might then agree to meet for an assessment session, in which we continue to explore whatever brings you to therapy and think together about whether I am the best person for you to see. If we then arrange some sessions, we will continue to focus on whatever feels most important to you each week as well as keeping your overarching concerns in mind.
