Noor Mardam Bey

BACP Registered Counsellor

About me

Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Noor and I am a professionally qualified and experienced counsellor offering online and in-person sessions.
I have had the privilege of working with clients from a diverse and broad range of ages and cultures in several counselling agencies as well as in my private practice. Some of the issues I have experience working with include clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, high sensitivity, bereavement, loss, sexual abuse, domestic violence, relationship issues, phobia, cultural and identity issues, life transitions, and finding meaning.

If you are experiencing overwhelming emotions that are impacting your sense of self, your relationships, your work, and your ability to move forward in your life, therapy can help. I am fully committed to providing a safe, accepting, and confidential space to explore and work through collaboratively your difficulties.

With my training, skills, and experience (personal and professional), meeting at regular periods to slow down, and voice your unique challenges, many of my clients experience changes in their well-being, clarity of thoughts, and cultivate a nourishing way of being with their struggles. Making space to explore thoughts, feelings, fantasies, fears, and desires with an attuned professional can bring about awareness which eventually leads to change where needed. The experience of being listened to in a focused way, of being heard, seen, and witnessed can be transformative.

My approach is client-centred and relational. It is concerned with how the difficulties you are experiencing are showing up in the present, and how your past experiences may be impacting your ways of being. I will walk alongside you on your journey helping you understand yourself better and to find a more fulfilling path. Also, the client-therapist relationship can work as a model for you to have a safe space to try new ways of relating with yourself and with others, and how you might heal relationships in your life.
My training as a therapist has included a diploma in Integrative Counselling (3 years) and an MSc in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy (5 years). I am currently towards the end of my MSc training and starting my research paper.

I appreciate it takes a lot of courage to take the first step in seeking counselling. I will do my best to make you feel settled and be someone you can trust. I can best be contacted through email. In our initial meeting, we will look at your motivation for seeking therapy, what you hope to get out of therapy and how I might best support you.
