About me

Life can be challenging to navigate, and for many of us, there is no formula to rely on – or we discover a situation in a life where our previous approach no longer works. Therapy offers the opportunity to explore how you can best support yourself and become better supported by those around you.
I have over six years’ experience of adult counselling and psychotherapy in London, working with chronic illness; family relationship breakdown; anxiety; depression; loneliness and connection; identity and belonging; bereavement; workplace difficulties; and preparing for significant transitions such as changing career, redundancy or retirement. My core training, an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute, is close to completion and I enjoy the support and challenge of fortnightly clinical supervision.
My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but rather to work together with you to find your own solutions through understanding what you are doing, how you are doing it, and what might be approached in a different way and deliver a better outcome for you. By increasing our self-awareness and uncovering the potential for increased choice and flexibility in life, we are all able to break out of old patterns and to learn to appreciate and value ourselves more.
My guiding principles are: confidentiality, respect, support, compassion, authenticity, choice and challenge. Words cannot always adequately convey what we are really thinking and feeling, so I am open to experimenting with various ways of exploring through art materials and objects, or a simple change of position or scene. I value the privilege of working with another human being, exploring their experience alongside them and building that sense of hope and possibility through small and achievable steps.

Training and qualification

My core training is an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute in partnership with Middlesex University.

In addition, I hold an advanced psychotherapy qualification that explores the connection between physical movement patterns and the foundations of psychological development.
